Gotta have a plan. Thanks for all the advice and encouragement about kicking the diet dew habit. I am going to take the next few weeks and slowly ween myself. I bought a couple cases of water and some of them have been flavored with crystal light. I have had 4 twenty ounce bottles of diet mountain dew throughout the day and I have a slight headache. I am going to have one more before I go to bed. You know it’s bad when 5 20 ouncers is a big step down.

  1. ourtimetochange said: Crystal Light was what helped me. I would drink 4 cups of coffee and 8-10 Diet Cokes a day before kicking. Been over a year now without coke and dont miss it. After the first week or so you will be fine. Hang in there dude.

  4. runsforredvelvet said: Wow! I thought I had it bad. I had one 44 oz. Diet Pepsi from the gas station today which I drank slowly over many hours. I bought a ton of non-soda drinks that I can have on Atkins from the grocery store - FTW!! We can do this!

  8. krismoves said: i use to drink upwards of 4 LITERS of diet pepsi a day… i stopped. It’s hard but SO worth it! Good luck - i think a gradual step down is best, esp if 4-5 20 oz is still giving you a lot of withdrawl!
  9. ashamedtosay said: Think of it this way- you are doing C25K of kicking the caffeine addiction. You start slow, walk most of the time, and by the end of the program you will run.
